The Top Four Football Players In The Premier League

Thursday, April 29th, 2010

Which footballers do think are the best in the English Premier League? This is the type of conversation that one has with their mates during the weekend. In this article I will be writing about “my top four”; I hope you enjoy the read.

The Premier League is without doubt the best league for drama, passion and excitement in Europe. When you compare this league with let’s say the Serie A in Italy it is just way more exciting; it is way faster and there is a lot more passion!

I am not a footballer myself and I am not involved within the media; the following players are just my personal opinion as to the players that I believe merit being in the top four. I am in fact a person who provides pet insurance; I am also involved with other projects that include selling a quality upvc front door and working helping people to attain cheap flyer printing.

Going back to my top four – the numero uno player has to be Mr Liverpool himself, Steven Gerrard. He is a top class football player. Some would argue that he has never really “done it” for England however I am sure he will put that right in next years World Cup. Steven is certainly a real captain marvel; driving his team forward with a real passion. He is a scouser through and through who always gives one hundred percent.

In second spot I would have to pick John Terry. He is very much a team player, a great motivator and he leads by example; a real champion. As well as being a dominant central defender who is an excellent reader of the game he also chips in with a few goals.

In third place I have Frank Lampard. This midfield dynamo just seems to get better and better. He is the model professional who like Steven Gerrard scores a great number of goals from midfield. I personally would play Frank in the centre of midfield for England with Gerrard “in the hole”, real football fans will understand what I mean by this.

Then there is the fourth place position and this may be slightly controversial as I have chosen Ashley Cole. I really do not want to pick Ashley as he annoys the hell out of me with his petulant behaviour. He is however an excellent player and his FA Cup final performance in the win against Everton (for Chelsea) was quite outstanding.

Well there we have it – my top four – what do you think?

Nations Fail To Agree Euro 2012 Qualifying Fixtures

Thursday, April 29th, 2010

The Euro 2012 draw caused great excitement amongst the fans. Supporters started to think of the new destinations they will travel to during their teams qualifying path to the Euro 2012 finals in Poland and Ukraine.

Supporters couldn’t make their travel plans until the dates of the qualifying matches were confirmed. In the first instance, the teams in the 9 qualifying groups were to hold a meeting to attempt to sort out the fixtures. The countries are free to chose to play the fixtures on any of the international dates between September 2010 and October 2011.

Within weeks of the Euro 2012 Qualifying draw being made, meetings were being held all round Europe and in five of the nine groups, fixtures were agreed which meant supporters could start making their travel plans. For the countries of the four remaining groups, the fixtures were decided by UEFA. England and Ireland couldn’t agree their fixtures so their large armies of travelling supporters were kept waiting. Consequently, loyal supporters had to wait a little longer to make their travel plans. The delays only increased the anticipation and some fans also suggested it was just an excuse for the officials to enjoy another all expenses trip..

The countries from the four unresolved groups headed to Tel Aviv to await their fate at the hands of UEFA. The procedure was not complicated. UEFA have a standard fixture list with fixtures such as A v B on a specific dates. All that was left to do was to draw the teams from each group into a letter thus giving the set of fixtures for the remaining four Euro 2012 Qualifying groups. Fans could start planning their trips at last.

Soccer Drills: Uncover The Basics

Tuesday, April 27th, 2010

Soccer drills

Try to understand my view point even if you don’t have the same opinion. In soccer drills, the players must first be taught the basics of the game in order to have then experience the game. This soccer training should precede the training the kids on more complex components of soccer or the correct method of playing on field.

You as a coach must make it a point that players take their first step in the right direction. For this reason, coach your players on every important soccer skill forming the basis of the game. Following are a few basic skills that each budding player must be skilled at.

Teach the players the skills of shooting and dribbling the ball: Players must first learn the two most basic techniques in soccer, dribbling and shooting. Whether the player be successful in the game or not depends on these two skills to a great extent. However, you must arrange for teaching these soccer exercises before hand.

Start with positioning several players over the soccer field and arrange all players in a straight line on either ends of field.

Now signal the players to start. Running around the field, they would try to grab the ball by their feet as they dribble and shoot the ball in the goal located at the opposite end of the field. When they practice these two soccer drills on a daily basis, they’ll be able to learn them fast.

Soccer drills

Passing the ball and following directions: Players learn the importance of team spirit as a result of these two soccer skills. After all, soccer is a team game and it should be evenly dispersed between all the players. It’ll be extremely difficult for the players to play as one team when they can’t follow simple instructions or can’t learn the skill of passing the ball amongst them.

You can use a simple exercise to make the players learn the passing skills and understand your directions. In the beginning, make the entire team line up in a single row at one side of the field. Place one team member stand in front of the single line at a distance of 5-10 feet.

When you give them a green signal, the first one in the row will try to get the ball from other players present on the field. As soon as they are told to stop, the player who has the ball would pass it to the player who is first in the line. In this soccer practice, players will get an opportunity to practice listening and following instructions.

Handling the Ball: It’s for you to teach your team members the ability to maneuver the ball in the field by using their feet along with other parts of body. This will result in players being more natural in their performance on the field. Do this by making the player’s practice bouncing the ball with their heads and knees, or stopping the ball with their backs.

These soccer drills offers the simplest way to develop great soccer players who can thereafter go on to learning actual game skills and more complex elements. Our Player Hints

Sunday, April 25th, 2010

There is no magic secret to getting a fantastic soccer player. Soccer is usually a sport that requires a wide range of skills. Here can be a list of points that I have compiled which will allow you to turn out to be the best soccer player possible.

1. Work on aerobic conditioning – Just attending soccer practices won’t permit you achieve your peak fitness level. Two to 3 times a week you should run for at least two miles. This can vastly improve your endurance, which is often a key attribute for soccer avid gamers to have. By improving your conditioning you will be competent to remain fast and alert even from the later parts in the game. It is achievable to also use hills as a training tool. This may help create bursts of speed and increase overall leg strength.

2. A soccer player who can only use 1 leg effectively is only reaching half of their potential. If you currently favor one foot, ensure that to exercise with the other.

Regardless of whether tunes plays an integral role in cultural activities or is merely anything to take pleasure in in the course of one’s cost-free time, music plays a significant component inside the lives of quite a few people. There are various designs of easily transportable media units in the marketplace so everyone is competent to discover a device that suits their requirements and fits their personality. Some convenient products are small and simple, holding only thirty or forty songs at once. Other models, however, can shop thousands of songs, performing the function of currently being a private songs library in addition to becoming a lightweight new music device.

Many in the newer designs of transportable new music equipment are rather expensive when they earliest go for the market. Some persons wait for months for prices to go down prior to purchasing one of the well-known models. Some retail stores present good deals but occasionally the most beneficial location to uncover low cost Mp3 or Mp4 players is about the internet. Many internet sites are devoted to providing their shoppers excellent products at reasonably priced prices.

4. Perform with a new talent every day – Take 15 minutes out of your day and focus with a diverse skill. You do not will need a soccer field, goal, or any fancy equipment. Remember that quite a few of the most effective professional avid gamers in entire world came from poverty and didn’t even have access to a field or cleats.

A Lot Regarding Goalie

Sunday, April 25th, 2010

How do you grow to be a better soccer goalie? The answer is usually to master the lost art of really catching the soccer ball. Simply blocking shots normally will not do a lot more than raise your save stats. As the old frame of mind returns, so will a new breed of “better” goalies.

Change Your Thought Process

The goalie in ice hockey has the most unsafe job –to end the puck (sometimes zooming in at 160 km/h) from entering the goal-net.

Very first of all, goalies need to alter their thought process. Just slapping the ball away accomplishes nothing a lot additional than giving the offensive team another crack on the goal. Thinking about the simple fact that the goalie is most likely about the ground or horribly out of position, a ball from the back on the net becomes a near certainty. Of course, if the ball goes out of bounds behind or more than the goal, you’ve earned a dreaded “corner”  Next to a penalty kick or even a totally free kick suitable outside the 18, a corner is essentially the most hazardous play for the defense.

Adequate Training

The goalie chest protector can be a security vest made from molded plastic material with specialized elbow pads, bicep and forearm protection.

There are numerous helmet styles for ice hockey goalies. It has to be lightweight and shock-resistant and have a foam cushion lining for comfort. Ideally helmets will feature built-in sweat absorption bands.

Ice hockey goalies use catch gloves to quit the puck. A single glove would cost about $125. The goalie also uses a target blocker for his other hand to block the puck from entering the net. Again it ought to be difficult enough; a good objective blocker costs close to $45.

Ice hockey goalies have leg pads which might be heavily padded for complete calf and shin protection. In addition they contain kneepads and ankle pads. Most leg pads are closed on the feet to supply safety for toes and soles. They are made from reinforced plastic material with nylon linings for comfort. Leg pads are expensive, at all-around $300 to $350 a pair.
