Chelsea’s Star Players

Chelsea’s squad is so packed with talent you may claim it’s hard to find the players that make the team work. In this article we take a look at five Chelsea players who seem to hold an inordinate amount of influence on how the team performs.

1. JOHN TERRY (England, Central defender)

Terry is captain of club and country and he sets the benchmark which the other Chelsea players adhere to. Willing to defend by any means necessary with skill and bravery, showing technically sound style and a great amount of skill. Not afraid to lead by example and always managers to be a danger for teams set pieces, you could not find a better player to captain your club and country.

2. ASHLEY COLE  (England, Left back)

He may not be the most popular player amongst Arsenal fans, despite the criticism Ashley Cole is still considered by many to be the best left back in the world. Certainly he has struggled for form and confidence at times, his quality balls into the box after breakaways down the left side can only be matched by his nack of stopping the worlds best players in their tracks. noone else managers to keep players like Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo quite during games. That’s no fluke, only a world class left back can pull it off.

3. MIKAEL ESSIEN (Ghana, Central midfielder)

Injury robbed Chelsea of Essien for a large chunk of last season and his absence was keenly felt,despite the team being filled with outstanding midfielders. Essien gives the midfield wonderful balance. His energy, work rate and defensive skills are first class, but he is also a technically gifted soccer player of great intelligence. He gets forward well and packs a powerful shot from distance. At today’s prices the 24.4 million pounds that it cost to buy him looks like a bargin.

4. FRANK LAMPARD (England, Central Midfielder)

Every team needs a midfielder like Lampard who can weigh in with plenty of goals, if they are to be successful. Lampard is one of the best around. He has shown a great return to form under the guidance of Carlo Ancelotti and as a result his goal tally has been increasing dramatically. Frank Lampard is a vital source of attacking strength due to his accurate shooting and ability to link play with his strikers.

5. DIDIER DROGBA (Ivory Coast, Attacker)

It is hard to dispute the claim that Didier Drogba is the best striker in the world at the moment. Didier Drogba wearing the Chelsea soccer jersey makes all defenders fear the upcoming game. He may be known for his ability to fall over during tackles and arguing with officials and opposing players but no goalkeeper wants him with the ball when he’s playing well. An excellent sense of presence coupled with prestigious goal scoring skill make him a must have for the team. His skill may give Chelsea what they need to end Manchester United’s recent dominance of the Premier League.

Stress Harms Health…

When stress attacks us, the results often show up in our mouth first. Often stress can increase your likelihood of developing gingivitis which can then easily progress into true gum disease.

The problems of stress is two fold. First the chemicals that your body creates may have an impact on your dental health alone. Couple that with the theory that stress can actually cause you to miss taking care of your dental health and you have compounded the problem.

If this goes on for any length of time, it is quite easy for gingivitis to worsen or to set in. Not to mention that, by the same token, your risk for tooth decay may increase as well. Harmful bacteria secrete their toxins onto both teeth and gums. As a result, both are more at risk for developing a disease condition.

Therefore, this article is a reminder to you to take care of your dental health in times of stress. Do not forget because it is easier to do so when you are stressed. Perhaps you are working late, night after night, attempting to reach a deadline. Perhaps you are worried about some matter relating to your family or friends.

It could be any number of things. One thing you can do to alleviate stress is to practice meditation. Try the peaceful exercises of Falun Dafa. They can help your body to relax. The idea is that your mind may follow suite. Stress is tricky and causes many harmful chemicals to be released. In a short term crises, these chemicals are helpful to meet environmental challenges. Busy And Unable To Care For Your Mouth…

I understand that feeling that many people have. The one that tells them they just do not have enough time to properly care for their teeth and gums. It is a common problem. The stress of life and all of the things we have on our daily checklist causes some of the really important things to be overlooked.  Maybe a hydrofloss would help you do a better job with less hassle.

Soccer Coaching Drills – 3 Simple Steps To Trapping

Imagine a scenario where 50% of the soccer coaching drills should adopt development of trapping skills as their focal point. You would probably dismiss it as a fancy. But make no mistake here. It’s trapping other than passing and dribbling which enhances your team’s ability to become a champion as per an investigation.

Trapping is the skill which enables a player to catch the ball and keep it close to himself. Such soccer exercises allow players to use thighs, feet and chest in doing so.

It is imperative that your players know how to trap the ball. If they can’t trap the ball, they are sure to lose their grip over the match because this is very basic. Trapping skills of the players can be enhanced by following the ways mentioned here.

Make use of your feet: Make your players learn the primary skill of involving their feet in holding the ball. Particularly in kids soccer drills, teach the kids to use inside of their foot. The fact that the inside area of the foot is large makes it easy for the players to hold the ball.

Soccer Drills

Older and well-established players in soccer coaching drills should be trained to use their full foot, just the top, or instep. Train your players to adopt the strategy to apply ankle or shin to catch hold of the ball when it is jumping a lot.

Thigh Movement: Using your thigh to control rapid and bouncy ball is an excellent approach. Guide the players to come in front of the ball, take one thigh up to capture the ball and other thigh to stay grounded. Most importantly, practice dropping your knee once it connects with the ball for the ball to drop down and stay with you rather than getting away.

Master the skill of capturing the ball using the knee and then dropping the knee so the ball plunges down and stays within range by intensively working on this exercise.

Use the Chest: Similar to the role of a thigh, the chest also plays an important part in trapping the ball that is high up in the air. Train the players to confront the ball head on by taking their chest out in full force in order to control the ball. As a result the ball will loose its tempo almost immediately and will fall down at once.

However, in the soccer training drills, it is important to realize that young players should not be exposed a lot to this technique. It is very typical of them to use their hands while trying to stop the ball with the chest. This can prove to be dangerous as the kids might develop a habit of using their hands while tackling the ball.

Soccer Scholarships – 5 Tips to traverse Out the rally

Soccer scholarships are getting harder to get every season. As soccer continues to grow in popularity each year, there is supplementary competition through the sparse number of scholarships for NCAA, NAIA also NJCAA colleges and universities. The good news is, if you are willing to put in as much or more effort towards your recruiting and scholarship search, as you do on the field, then you can guarantee your self success.

Here are 5 tips to separate yourself from the competition:

1. Olympic Development Program (ODP) Each state and region has an Olympic development program for soccer. Most athletes are offered soccer scholarships from these teams. While you also must play on your high school team, the competition has become so intense that college coaches almost exclusively recruit from these leagues.
2. Academic Grades I know you must hear this everywhere but it can not be emphasized enough. Just having a GPA below 3.0, excludes yourself from being recruited at almost 50% of NCAA schools. Gone are the days when an athlete could just meet minimum NCAA academic standards. You must also meet minimum admissions standards for the college. Do not lose out to another athlete because of your grades. There is no excuse anymore for this one.
3. staunch upgrowth Coaches want a player that can stand up to the unhappiness of the collegiate game. Do you lose your head when your team loses or gets scored on? Do you change your style of play, get weaker as the match goes on? Coaches are watching and you must be able to maintain your performance under pressure and losing situations.
4. Athletic Range Are you able and willing to play fresh than individual position? Conceive you already peaked in high school or would you get better under a collegiate soccer program’s coaching besides filthy lucre? Coaches want players who are willing to complete whatever the yoke needs. They also want players who can continue to improve and grow as a player throughout their college playing career.
5. Financial Ability Is your family willing to pay tuition combined with athletic aid from a college? Soccer is a “equivalency” sport in the NCAA. Most scholarships are only partial and seldom do we see actual full-rides for soccer. Communicate to the coach that you are willing and able to pay to go to college here to cover the rest of the tuition. Coaches do not want to haggle or waste time with athletes who are not serious about attending if they do not get a full-ride.

Use these five tips to start developing your recruiting plan. With the number of high school soccer players and increasing number of foreign students also getting recruiting for soccer scholarships, you need to start early and start fast. A solid plan can help you overcome obstacles to your scholarship search and place you above the competition.
